Many children in the mountainous areas of Da Hua, Guang Xi have become orphans because their parents have passed away or were abandoned by their widowed mothers.

Silver Lining Foundation has worked with the local government, establishing family villages (Caring Centers) for these orphans.

Each “family” consists of six children. While the Foster parents are still responsible for the upbringing of these children, they are also responsible for their education and taking them to the local primary schools. This allows the children to build a sense of “family” and grow up in a healthy environment attending a school like other children.

The Myanmar Silver Lining Family Village has reached its capacity and has an urgent need to provide additional Caring Centers for the other orphans so they can receive our care and continue to live in their own community. We provide assistance to relatives to take care of the orphans, ensuring a healthy living and a holistic environment.
