SPREADING LOVE TO OUR CHILDREN

Myanmar is located in Southeast Asia with a population of about 55 million. Because of long term civil wars and drug problems, a lot of innocent children lost their parents when they were young and become orphans.

In light of that, Silver Lining extended their services to Myanmar in 2017, establish the first Silver Lining Family Village in Pyin Oo Lwin, Mandalay, to take care of orphans in a “family” model. Each family is made up of 10 children and 1 foster mother. The mother will take care of their daily lives, let the children regain love and care, to feel the warmth of a family again, and to grow up healthily and happily.

We also value children’s education a lot. In Myanmar, lots of children are unable to have a chance for education due to poverty. Therefore, we hired teachers to tutor the Family Village children, to let them catch up on their educational progress and return to school life. In addition, the children are also eager to learn Burmese, English and Chinese languages, they hope they could give back to society when they grow up and pass on the love to others.
